I love painting. It lets my mind wander away from the rest of the world for a while. What’s really cool about it is that sometimes I look at my creations and go Wow! “That’s pretty”, and if it doesn’t look so good, who cares. Just cover it up, start over and see what else you can come up with.
Acrylic Painting Is Very Forgiving
Lots of times you can paint over your mistakes. If you make a mistake, and it’s still wet, try to rub some of the paint off with a rag or paper towel. Then use titanium white acrylic paint to cover your mistake and let it dry. Then you should be able to finish painting. If you’d like a more detailed way to fix a tough mistake that’s not cooperating with you you can check out the Tips and Tricks section.
It Helps To Draw A Rough Draft First
It does help a little when you’re painting even the simplest flower painting on a landscape background to have a rough draft of how it will look even if it is just for the size and placement of them.
In this painting, I drew and painted the background first then let it dry and drew a few flowers on the canvas to help guide me. I included a bunch of pretty flower pictures below that you can use as guidelines or print out and transfer if you'd like.
